Wellington Botanic Garden ki Paekākā, a 25-hectare garden near central Wellington, sits in a valley between Thorndon and Kelburn, bounded by Glenmore Street. You can reach it via the Wellington Cable Car. Managed by the Wellington City Council, the garden includes protected native forest, conifers, plant collections, seasonal displays, and a large rose garden, as well as sculptures.
