Villa Borghese is a landscape garden in Rome with a number of buildings, museums, and other attractions. It's the third-largest public park in Rome, after Villa Doria Pamphili and Villa Ada.
The gardens were created for the Villa Borghese Pinciana. Architect Flaminio Ponzio built the villa based on sketches by Scipione Borghese, who used it as a party villa on the edge of Rome to house his art collection. The gardens were redesigned in the late 19th century.
Today, Villa Borghese features English and Italian gardens, fountains, scenic overlooks, and a zoo.
