Millennium Park, a 24.5-acre public park in Chicago's Loop area, is operated by the city's Department of Cultural Affairs. Opened in July 2004, it sits near Lake Michigan, forming the northwest corner of Grant Park. Bounded by Michigan Avenue, Randolph Street, Columbus Drive, and East Monroe Drive, the park features public art, outdoor spaces, and performance venues.
Millennium Park is known for Cloud Gate (The Bean), Crown Fountain, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and Lurie Garden. In 2017, it was the most-visited destination in Chicago and the Midwest, and one of the top ten in the United States, with 25 million visitors.
