Kirstenbosch is a botanical garden at the eastern foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. It is one of 10 National Botanical Gardens managed by the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI), representing five of South Africa's six biomes. (The institute was known as the National Botanical Institute before September 1, 2004.) Kirstenbosch is considered one of the world's great botanical gardens and includes the Tree Canopy Walkway, indigenous flora, and mountain views.
